The film, starring Judah Lewis and Samara Weaving, will be directed by McG.

The Duff star Robbie Amell, who also appears on TV series The Flash, has joined New Line’s film The Babysitter.

Judah Lewis, the breakout star of Jean-Marc Vallee’s Demolition, is starring in the film opposite Samara Weaving.

The New Line film, which will be directed by McG, follows a young boy (Lewis) and his babysitter (Weaving) on a night where things go very wrong, with the boy learning a few lessons about life, love and murder along the way.

McG will produce via his Wonderland Sound & Vision along with the company’s president, Mary Viola. Production is slated for later this Fall in Los Angeles.

The script, by Brian Duffield, generated heat when it was on the 2014 Blacklist. Wonderland initially optioned the project and developed it before taking it to a studio.

Wonderland is co-financing through a partnership with Zack Schiller of Boies/Schiller Film Group. Schiller will exec produce along with James McGough. Duffield also will executive produce along with Wonderland’s Steven Bello, who brought the project in to the company.

New Line execs Richard Brener, Walter Hamada and Dave Neustadter will oversee for the studio.

Amell plays Ronnie Raymond on The CW’s hit series The Flash, and previously appeared in TV series The Tomorrow People and Revenge. He’ll also appear in the new X-Files miniseries. On the film side, he starred in CBS Films’ The Duff (also produced by Wonderland) and the recent Warner Bros.’ film Max. He’ll also appear in Nine Lives with Kevin Spacey. He’s repped by WME, Protege Entertainment, Coast To Coast and Felker, Toczek, Suddleson.
