Lionsgate Home Entertainment and CBS Films have officially announced that they will release on Blu-ray The DUFF (2015), starring Mae Whitman, Bella Thorne, and Robbie Amell. The release will be available for purchase on June 9.

Based on the best-selling book by Kody Keplinger, The DUFF reveals that while social media can amplify even the little things, high school social hierarchy hasn’t changed since the John Hughes era.

Synopsis: Bianca’s (Whitman) universe turns upside down when she learns that her high school refers to her as a “DUFF” (Designated Ugly Fat Friend). Hoping to erase that label, she enlists the help of a charming jock (Amell) and her favorite teacher (Jeong). Together they’ll face the school’s mean girl (Thorne) and remind everyone that we are all someone’s DUFF…and that’s totally fine.

Special Features:
“The DUFF Hits The Red Carpet” featurette
“Bringing the Book to Life” featurette
“Teen Comedies and The DUFF” featurette
“I Am the DUFF” featurette

Robbie Amell wears a sweater really well in this new shot from his ShuString magazine cover.

The 26-year-old Flash actor opened up to the glossy about what he does in his spare time, advice he would give others, and more. Check it:

On his hobbies: “My fiancée [Italia Ricci] and I, ya know, we love just going to breakfast, taking it easy whenever we have the spare time to just relax.”

On what he would tell aspiring actors: “I believe that one has to be able to take criticism, and be able to take ‘no’ for an answer. Stick with it and persevere despite the hardships and hurdles that you may encounter.”
